Top Ten Tuesday (12): Book Covers I Love

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish to facilitate list sharing. My lists, as usual, are in no real order. This week’s topic:

Top 10 Favorite Book Covers of Books I’ve Read:

This topic was sort of difficult for me, because while I love pretty covers more than anything most of the books are ones I mention a lot in these posts. I tried to change it up for this one, but in the end the covers were more important. So basically: you’ve seen a lot of these before, but oh well. (Some of them showed up in the post I did at the end of 2012.)

dash and lily's book of dares Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone

Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone by Kat Rosenfield — I swoon over this cover all. the. time.

meant to be Body of Water

Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill — I love the way they edited the people on the cover. Like, I don’t know… I just like it.
Body of Water by Sarah Dooley

The Disenchantments burn for burn

The Disenchantments by Nina LaCour — Having this on the list is weird… I usually don’t like covers with the “girl on the cover” vibe, but I love this one. It has ended up on “Favorite Covers” lists before.
Burn for Burn by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian — Ahh, pretty cover. I’m pretty sure they changed it so the text and whatnot is yellower now. Eh, not digging it. I like this one.

the hobbit tuck everlasting

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt

this is what happy looks like bad girls don't die

These two are technically cheating because I haven’t finished reading them yet, but whatever.

This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith — I like this one mostly for the amazing yellow color.
Bad Girls Don’t Die by Katie Alender — The image on the computer is a bit more saturated. In person the cover is very soft and subtle. I LOVE it.

  1. I completely forgot about Will Grayson! Then again, I adore the cover, but probably not enough to include it on my list. (Choosing just ten book covers proved a difficult challenge for me.)

I’ve always thought Meant to Be has a great color — I love the color schemes with the background. Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares is another I like, too, which I plan to read soon!

    1. I feel the same way about Will Grayson. I think it’s pretty, but eh. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the book either, so I was able to rule it out. (If only kind of, because it’s still technically on the list. Haha.)

Oo, I can’t wait to see what you think about Dash and Lily!

      1. I’m sure I’ll enjoy Dash & Lily. I started it last week, though I realized it’s a book I want to review so I’m holding off until I get some ARCs out of the way — I really liked Dash’s characters, and even Lily (even if it took some time for her to grow on me).

  2. Love all the covers you put here! I can’t believe I forgot a few of them. And I want to read the ones I couldn’t put on my list! Burn for Burn, The Disenchantments, and Bad Girls Don’t Die are particularly gorgeous.

  3. I love the cover for This is What Happy Looks Like. I also love the yellow, the sunshine, the boat, and the font. It’s so pretty.

  4. Awesome list. I haven’t seen Body of Water before but now I’m curious.
I totally agree on you with Amelia Anne is dead and gone.
Can’t help but stare at that lovely cover!

    Happy Reading!

    1. I love both of those covers. (Obviously, Lisa, or they wouldn’t be on the list. Haha.) Body of Water is totally worth the read as well.

    1. I LOVE that cover for The Hobbit. I’m having a hard time finding it in a store or something. I don’t want the book unless it has THAT cover. Haha.
