Review Policy

I’m currently accepting ARCs, Galleys, and finished copies for review. I will accept Kindle e-books, though I prefer hard copies.

I read mainly anything in the Young Adult genre. This includes, but is not limited to: Contemporary, Paranormal, Fantasy, Romance, Historical Fiction, Dystopian, et cetera. I’m open to receiving Middle Grade fiction, though I’m mainly a YA book blog.

What I will NOT accept:

  • Non-Fiction (including Biographies/Autobiographies, Memoirs, Self-Help books, etc.)
  • Religious books or books mainly about religion (note: religious characters are OK)
  • Self-Published works
  • Audio books

I write honest (and sometimes chatty) reviews that center around how I feel about a book more than the technical aspects of it. There is a chance I won’t like your novel. In such a case I won’t sugarcoat the book review just because the book was given to me. That said: I make an effort to remain amiable in my reviews, regardless of how much I liked or disliked the book in question.

I reserve the right not to complete a book or write a review at any given time. Note that I will work to get a review written no matter what, but, if for some reason, I cannot complete the book, there will be no review. I may express why I couldn’t finish the novel, but I find it unfair to “review” a book I didn’t read completely.

If I accept a book it’s not a guarantee that it will be read or reviewed swiftly. If there’s a specific timeframe you would like the review to be posted, please make the date(s) clear when you contact me.

I strongly recommend you browse around my blog to get the general feel of how I write my reviews before you contact me.

Feel free to email me with any questions, concerns, or requests at: booksandbooksand [at] gmail [dot] com.
